Poser un tatouage éphémère sur sa silicone doll ou TPE, rien de révolutionnaire en soit.
Nevertheless, many of you are wondering whether this is possible, and whether it's dangerous or not.
Yes, it's possible and no, it's not dangerous.
To save you weeks of unnecessary waiting for your Aliexpress parcel, let's take a look at what works and how to apply it properly.
Tattoo Location
Unsurprisingly, if you place a tattoo in an area that bends or stresses, the thing will rip right off.
Same spirit if it rubs. Bear in mind, too, that on certain areas it will hold, but you could ruin everything by manipulating it. Especially thighs or arms.
Locations to avoid:
- back, buttocks if regularly lying down
- anything that might pass over the knees or elbows, shoulders, wrists
- groins, fingers
Top locations:
- stomach and lower abdomen
- collarbones, ribs
- face, neck
Locations at risk (depending on your use) :
- on the breasts
- thighs and calves
- arms
Tips for a better fit
To maximize tattoo hold over time, it's best to remove a minimum of grease before application.
As for me, I always apply after a good shower, on a dry doll. Tip for safely degreasing your doll's skin and maximizing hold: washing-up liquid.
This is what I do directly after showering, in this order:
- wash - rinse
- degreasing with a paper towel and a drop of washing-up liquid
- rinse area
Once the doll is almost dry, I apply the tattoo(s).
To go even further
What will destroy the tattoo is the rubbing and bending of the area, and the greasiness of the TPE or silicone.
The first two parameters depend on your use. For the third, time is of the essence.
I've got a tip for DIY enthusiasts and TPE doll owners: spray with 3M94 and a few pieces of dissolved TPE to varnish the tattoo with an ultra-thin second skin.
The aim? To seal the tattoo to prevent any oil from damaging it.
This won't solve the problem of rubbing or folding, but it will keep the tattoo in good condition for much longer.
How to remove a tattoo easily?
Use kerosene oil, for example. Using a sheet of oil-soaked paper towel, dab the tattoo.
This is usually enough to remove by hand. Scrubbing is a plus, but if you have a silicone doll, don't go too hard on the area.
This could slightly blur body make-up, especially if you always place tattoos in the same places.
I hope these tips help you, feel free to share this post!
